First Aid Remedies

The following First Aid remedies are used when the illness has come on suddenly. They are for acute (short lasting) illness not chronic (long lasting) illness. If your symptoms persist you must go to the doctor because there may be some serious underlying condition that needs treated.

Aconite

Aconite is the remedy of choice when you suddenly feel unwell. You may not know what is wrong with you. It may be a cold - a chill - a flu. Take Aconite immediately to boost your immune system.
At the same time you could take garlic and the other vitamin supplements in order to help the body fight the infection. Eat very little - preferably fresh fruit or vegetables. Take plenty of fluids and go to bed.
If you need it take the day off. One day off gives the body a chance to fight the infection and this could save you being ill for weeks - if you force the body to work through it.
The Flu is especially debilitating and if you force your body to work while ill it could lead to chronic fatique (tiredness) syndrome or M.E.

Another point is that you will be infectious - colds and flus are caused by viruses and they can easily be passed on to others - as you sniff, cough and breathe over them. When you are ill for your own good and for the good of others - stay at home and recover.
