Black eyes

Ledum is useful for blackeyes and other injuries which cause swollen puffy purplish areas of tissue. It can also be used for Animal bites or other puncture wounds that feel cold to the touch and look swollen and purple.
It can also help swollen stiff joints especially if the overlying skin is purple and the joint itself feels cold. If the pain is worse with heat and better with cold applications then this remedy may help.

Arnica is also a good remedy for black eyes or any accident involving falls, bumps, bruises or blows to body parts especially blows to the head.
After any accident take Arnica -as it promotes healing and dissipates the shock of the accident.
Any fall - accident or blow that involves bruising - or is sore will benefit from Arnica.
It promotes rapid healing and is reputed to dissolve and clear away dangerous blood clots forming at the site of the injury.
It also helps to dissipate the shock of injury - which is sometimes even more dangerous than the injury itself.
